This basic shortbread biscuit recipe is so easy to do and will ensure a perfect biscuit for any celebration!

You Will Need

150g (6oz) Plain Flour

100g (4oz) Butter

50g (2oz) Caster Sugar

Flavourings can be added if desired.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C (375° / Gas Mark 5)

Place all ingredients into mixing bowl and knead together until mixture has combined and is a soft consistency.

Step 2

Roll out to Approx. ½cm thickness and cut out shapes using cookie cutters to suit your theme.

Step 3

Place on a baking tray, Prick each biscuit with a fork to prevent air bubbles when baking.

Bake for 10-12 min until golden brown. Allow to cool completely then decorate as desired.
