This plastic Easter egg mould contains 6 cavities and is ideal to use to create fun decorations and confectionery - ideal for use with chocolate or icing.
First temper your chocolate to achieve a professional, high gloss finish that will release the chocolate easily from the mould.
Polish moulds with a piece of kitchen roll. (This also helps to create a shine to the finished product!)
Paint in any required detail first. Allow to set, then brush the melted chocolate into the moulds, keeping edge as neat as possible (or trim the edge after setting). Turn upside down and leave to set.
Apply a second layer if you wish.
Once set properly push carefully to release the eggs, then brush melted chocolate sparingly around the edge of the eggs and push halves together to create a full egg. Or preferably, heat a baking tray in the oven, remove and smear the edge of the egg onto the tray to melt and push together with the other half. Decorate if wished!
Then wrap in a cellophane bag and tie some Easter themed ribbon around the top for the perfect Easter gift!
