The use of dowelling is essential for supporting tiered cakes covered in sugar paste, whether you are stacking the cakes directly on top of each other or using pillars or separators. We offer three types of dowelling: crystal plastic dowels, white plastic dowels and wooden dowel rods. Pillars provide the structural support for tiered cakes and have a hole through the middle for the dowelling. The choice of pillars is pretty exhaustive as they come in all shapes, sizes, colours and styles.
