You Will Need

For the cookies:

125g Butter / Margarine
130g Caster Sugar
½ Beaten Egg
½ Tsp Vanilla Flavouring (54385)
330g Plain Flour
½ Tsp Baking Powder (065728)
Pinch Salt
Apple Cookie cutter (80218215)
For the Decoration:

Renshaw Lime Green Sugarpaste (0602911)
Renshaw Chocolate flavour Sugarpaste (55195)
Colour Splash food colouring powder – Matt – Pillar box red (75120) 
Impressit Designer Stamp - Thank You (811408)

Step 1

Cream butter/margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and add flavouring.

Sieve flour, salt and baking powder, and add to creamed mixture gradually until it becomes a soft dough. Wrap mixture in cling film, and chill in fridge.

Step 2

Preheat oven to 180ºC and roll out mixture to desired thickness, approx. 1⁄2” to 3⁄4”.

Cut out with cookie cutter and place on non stick baking tray and place in oven.

Bake for 7-10 mins or until slightly brown.

Leave on tin to cool a little and then transfer to a cooling rack.

Step 3

Roll out sugarpaste and cover each cookie, sticking with a little jam, edible glue or piping gel.

Using the brown sugarpaste create the ‘stalk’

Brush with a little red dusting powder for a more realistic finish.

Using the acrylic block (811411) and ‘Thank you’ impressit set, emboss a thank you message onto the cookie.
