For the cookies:125g Butter / Margarine
130g Caster Sugar
½ Beaten Egg
½ Tsp Vanilla Flavouring (54385)
330g Plain Flour

Cream butter/margarine and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and add flavouring.
Sieve flour, salt and baking powder, and add to creamed mixture gradually until it becomes a soft dough. Wrap mixture in cling film, and chill in fridge.
Preheat oven to 180ºC and roll out mixture to desired thickness, approx. 1⁄2” to 3⁄4”.
Cut out with cookie cutter and place on non stick baking tray and place in oven.
Bake for 7-10 mins or until slightly brown.
Leave on tin to cool a little and then transfer to a cooling rack.
Roll out sugarpaste and cover each cookie, sticking with a little jam, edible glue or piping gel.
Using the brown sugarpaste create the ‘stalk’
Brush with a little red dusting powder for a more realistic finish.
Using the acrylic block (811411) and ‘Thank you’ impressit set, emboss a thank you message onto the cookie.
