This plastic cracked (half) large Easter egg mould is ideal to use to create delicious homemade chocolate eggs.
First temper your chocolate to achieve a professional, high gloss finish that will release the chocolate easily from the mould.
Polish mould with a piece of kitchen roll. (This also helps to create a shine to the finished product)
Paint in any required detail first. Allow to set, then brush the melted chocolate into the mould, keeping edge as neat as possible (or wipe/trim the edge). Turn upside down and leave to set.
Apply a second/third layer if you wish.
Once set push carefully to release the egg, Repeat if you possess only one half mould, then brush melted chocolate sparingly around the edge of the egg and push together to create a full egg. Or preferably, heat a baking tray in the oven, remove and smear the edge of the egg onto the tray to melt and push together with the other half.
Then wrap in a cellophane bag and tie some Easter themed ribbon around the top for the perfect Easter gift!
