This is no imitation, this one-pot pulled pork chilli has all the ingredients to whisk you away. In this show, there are no limits to what you can do – why not turn up the heat and chow down with this far-out western dish.
2 x 415g cans of kidney or baked beans
2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
400ml tomato juice
2kg pork shoulder
2 x cloves garlic, minced
1 x onion, diced
2 x jalapeños, seeded and diced
1 tbsp chilli powder
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp salt
½ tsp cracked black pepper
2 tbsp brown sugar
- Super easy this one, first place your pork shoulder into a slow cooker and add all of your ingredients.
- Give everything a stir and cook on a low heat for 5-6 hours. If that’s not quick enough, cooking at a high heat for 3-4 hours works but this means that your pork won’t be as tender. Keep checking back and give everything a stir to stop it from sticking.
- Once cooked, serve up in bowls with bread or rice for an authentic western feel.
